Yep - I'm with the people who like the storage. I am guessing your wife would also appreciate that (since I'm the wife and chief packer/organizer in our RV). We've never watched TV in the RV, but eventually mounted a TV to the end of the cabinet that faces the bunk. It then swings out over the bunk for viewing from various angles for watching movies or as a computer monitor (mostly).
Maybe that could provide a good compromise? You may appreciate the storage as well for odd shaped things. We take metal detectors which likely wouldn't fit anywhere else unless I reorganized my outside areas to handle them (thus reducing the outside storage for outsidey things). We enjoy the freedom to just pack enough stuff to get us through three weeks without stopping for laundry, and since we usually travel when it's cooler (bulkier clothes) it would be tough to do that just using our clothes storage cabinets.
