Our MOHO is that heavy too, so IF we had T/H I'd probably use it a goodly amount of the time. We have 4R100, so the "T/H Button" is "O/D Off" and the transmission reverts to being a three-speed. That's pretty drastic, so it stays in O/D most of the time.
I've driven an F350 V10 with heavy BigFoot Truck Camper, and a 30-ft Class C V10, both with Tow/Haul. It was very nice most of the time. The only time I found it a little annoying was then it chipped in with engine-braking downshifts when I didn't think it needed to do it.
Transmission's a winner.
