Thanks for the info - Any idea when Ford went to the 10.75"? Have a little budget constraint that prohibit the newer models.
Thanks
2007.
BTW - Ford's position was that the full chassis ratings could be maintained if QVM Q-18 was followed, and the rear extension was built the same was as the front extension.

All modern E450s are built to full compliance, however prior to 2010, some were fully compliant, and some were only compliant at the center splice, not the rear extension, and therefore may have necessitated a lower tow rating due to the sub-par rear extension.
Also, most RVs don't come with a hitch receiver rated for use with weight distribution, but for pulling a trailer that heavy, I think you'll enjoy the drive much more using a WD hitch, even if you don't have a lot of tension on the bars. At the very least, it'll greatly reduce porpoising over dips and bumps, and will provide better loading of rear of the chassis. And... you'll be less likely to overload your rear tires. A receiver swap for one compatible with WD is an easy job you can do in the driveway.
Definitely shop for a long wheelbase. You're likely to find a nice 220-223" wheelbase in a "31-foot" floorplan, but the 29 and 30 foot models often have a wheelbase under 200, and maybe 208" best case. Some 29-ers only have a 188" wheelbase.
