Recently went through the "look the axle up" routine for ours, and found 4.56, so we aren't one of the winners of the "4.63 lottery."
Reason for the looking up, was to determine the original lubricant, the appropriate replacement lubricant, and axle capacity/how much to buy. Outcome was to switch from OEM Dyno Oil to Full Synthetic 75W-140.
Pretty sure Bryan runs a lube something like that, but seeing 250* (albeit under extreme conditions!) I wonder... Would a Finned Aluminum Cover help? Maybe with a Fan blowing onto it? I think I heard of a diesel pickup that used a couple fans on the differential cover.
