Claytor Lake St Park ok for big Class A's?

All the sites on Reserve American show 35 feet but the photos on campsitephotos.com look pretty big. Anyone got any experience there?
  • While there are a number of sites that you will fit into - there are also a number of sites you won't fit. It looks like you can reserve by site now - I would focus on sites 1 to 6 and 35 to 40. These are back in sites that you could overhang the rear of the site if necessary. Sites 8 thru 12 might also be an option - I can't recall if really large rigs were in these sites when I was there. I wouldn't even try for the other sites (21 through 34) as I believe they would be very limiting and you probably would not fit into them with a rig your size.
  • X2, many sites there that can handle a 40 footer.

One of the best state parks in the country.
  • We were there a couple of weeks ago. Sites are pretty big. You get to pick your sites and they had plenty of drive thru and backup sites to choose from. We were there only for the night.
