Thanks for adding more ideas for cleaning the encrusted front windshield.
I've had a couple of rock chips repaired in the windshield, and the Novus guy asked me if I ever used Rain-X on the windshield. He said that he has had problems repairing windshields that have been treated with it. It's a great product, but I avoid it now.
