You all know that cleaning the windshield and front cap is a daily chore that needs to be done every time you stop for an evening. I got tired off having to dig out the bucket, soap, brush, and water hose after traveling all day...would much rather down with a cocktail.DW put me onto the window cleaning gadget she used on the house window so about 2 years ago I began using one on the windshield. In a word "WONDERFUL". As long as you don't overuse the pad they clean well and don't require drying. The water sheets off very well. In fact today I even did the front cap as well with great results.Windex Cleaning ToolMy life got even easier when I found a roll-up hose at camping world. Bought a 25' model last year and this year picked up a 50' version. It looks pretty good. It would also save me from having to get the step ladder out. I will give it a try. Thanks for the info.

Treat your windshield with Griot's windshield sealant (better then Rain X). Treat the cap with a paint sealant and the bugs will more often then not come off with just the wipers or a quick wipe with a rag. Bonus is the rains runs off and you often don't need the wipers when it's lightly raining.

There are two (2) statements on the OP's listed product page that states: DO NOT USE ON AUTOMOBILES. That would be sufficient for the wise.

Everyday I use a little Giant folding ladder, a small bucket of hot water with a VERY small amount of liquid laundry soap. I use a simple bug scrubber and the water to wash the bugs off and then a large squeegee to wipe dry. No rinsing is required. The 16 inch squeegee was bought at Lowes for $9 and is the best tool. I do all of this in about 10 minutes.

I've been using a garden sprayer,the pump kind, it holds about 3/4 gal. of water and a telescopic window squeege.
Rub a little turtle wax bug and tar on the front cap and rinse,I also find it very handy to wash rims,tablecloths,bbq,etc.Very handy and portable.

Looks to me like a moot point. Almost ALL the reviews say the product is great but they cannot find the refills. Once the pads are done, so are you.

Norwex is fantastic for RVs! You don't need to store multiple cleaning products! I just love that you just use the special cloths and water for must applications, especially windows. Check them out ***Link Removed***

THIS site has some great cleaning products for motorhomes/ RV's. I believe most are also Green or safe for the environment. I know she has segments in both the Tiffin and Newmar manuals for cleaning RV's.
That 303 protectant seems to help keep the bugs off the front cap.

I'll be diplomatic about this, but no we don't all know that. My wife is even one of those obsessive compulsive people on cleaning, but we surely don't clean the front cap and windshield every day. At the most I'll clean the windshield, but I've never even worried about the front cap when out on a trip. It gets cleaned back home with the pressure washer and then not even after every trip.

x2 - I didn't know that either. Mine gets clean when it's dirty and usually it has to be pretty bad for me to doing during any given trip.

Are you saying Rejex can be used on the windshield? I was afraid to try it. Works great on the front cap!

While I don't clean mine EVERY day, I do clean the windshield and front cap after every moving day. (sometimes I'll do the rear one too)

No WINDEX product is supposed to be used on automobiles and/or asphalt surfaces. The campground might not appreciate it if the asphalt is damaged....:E....use caution and read ALL directions before using any product. You could just use the "swiffer" part with a good quality wash and wax product.

I use SurfCity wash and wax. It's easy to use and cleans nicely. I also use soft water so there's no streaks or water spots left over....Dennis

Clean the windshield and front cap real good and apply a couple coats of Rejex. The next time you need to clean, use a soft brush and clean water. 90% of the bug splatter will fall off without needing to brush hard.
