Coach-Net has changed it's business practices for the worse

What is so sad about it. Coach-Net is a good company, I have not read what some of you are complaining about, but for $200 plus they must have something good to offer. You mention paint on your coach. Have you ever prized how much it costs to repaint your coach if it had full body paint? I will read what all they cover for that amount of money, but it could be good. Nothing good comes cheap now days. You get what you pay for.

I can see (by viewing the CN website) that they are really pushing the $249 plan. Making it seem like it is the only plan.

However....I renewed just last month...for the Premier Coach plan....covers all my vehicles (as I mentioned in my earlier post) For:

1 year $149

3 years $387.

I go for the 1 year, ($149) because I have no idea if I will even own the motorhome beyond that.

Because I KNOW what I am looking for, and the website is pushing this $240 (1 year) thing, I might suggest anyone looking for different plans to call them at their 1-800 number.

Don't know where you're coming from with this kind of price, but just renewed recently and it was nowhere near that for any vehicle that my wife or I might be driving, whether RV or car. You'e not insuring your vehicles against road hazards, but are insuring yourself and regardless of who might own it.
Again, do yourself a favor and give Sharon Ball a call at PPL Houston, TX, for some savings over CoachNet direct.

DRYCREEK; Fine. he got the "Extended Service Plan". THAT was the OPs option. Gotta read the fine print....question: Was the fine print available? Should have been somewhere......

And yes....I too vote with my pocketbook. A company "rips" me...I go elsewhere.

With CN, they gave me "free" for one year after I purchased my new motorhome. I stayed with them. ROAD SERVICE. I think 2 versions of that. That is what I wanted, that is what I got. "Extended Service..." frankly, am unaware that CN even offers that. (my bad?) I just get a annual notice from CN that my policy (ROAD SERVICE...that covers all my vehicles including the motorcycle) is up for renewal..and I renew it. On-line. Needed them 3-4 times with the motorhome (4 times with my cars...mostly tire problems) in the past 16 years...NEVER a problem. Both the person on the phone and the road service folks....excellent. Totally professional.

I think sometimes people are actually intimidated by "insurance/extended" plans (that are very expensive...then they find out that what broke is not covered)...I prefer to simply put that money in the gas tank and travel. So far...so good. My $1300 replacement fridge, in my mind, seems alot cheaper than the $2400 "extended warranty" plan offered to me. These high profit plans might work IF one needs it (did the motor fall out?)....I would guess not many really do..to some, "security" is everything. I guess it's up to you, eh?

I have been with Coach Net since 2003 and they are much better then GS period. I renewed my plan in April 2017 and I paid $149.00 even for the platnium plan.

I have used them twice in fourteen years and they have done a professional job.

Plus I have three cars and one truck that are covered with Coach Net.

I don't think that he is confused, at all. I think that I understand exactly what he was trying to say, although it may take some folks a little longer "to get" what he really means.

He is unhappy with the fact that his Extended Service Plan requires him to use the issuing dealer for repairs. He obviously doesn't like the way they perform services, or is otherwise unsatisfied with the way they do business. Because of this, he is no longer going to do any business with Coach-Net. That means he is dropping their Coach-Net Emergency Roadside Service, and looking at either FMCA or Good Sam plans.

What is so hard to understand about his position? I know that when I get tired of being jerked around by a business, I withdraw ALL of my contact with them. As a consumer, you have the power to do just that, and I applaud the OP for standing up for what he believes in. If you cross me - don't count on me ever spending another hard-earned dime in your place of business again. Ever.

And yes, for those of us with a Class A motor home, there is no way we can get ERS coverage for $79 on our first year. I have shopped and tried. We purchased our MH through PPL (Cleburne), and they checked into this for us. They were surprised at the cost for the first year themselves. I guess that this was something new started in the last six months or so. Trust me,I am not confused on that. try it yourself. Call CN and pretend to be a new customer with a 10 year old Class A and ask for an ERS quote.

This was discussed elsewhere. Coach Net did indeed did raise their Roadside service to an astronomical price.
We first bought it it was 69.00. We let it drop by accident in 15. Took it out gain, the Premier plan, which is the only one covering other vehicles now at something like 250.00. Also a change to where they will only tow to nearest service, however unsuited.
We will be going back to Good Sams.Same reduced coverage for less money.
There may be another quality offering out there that will still tow to where the MH needs to go regardless of distance and covers the other vehicles.
