Coach seems to be shrinking

We have a 2008 Winnebago on an an F53 chassis with 53K miles. Shortly after we purchased, I measured the coach at about 12'3". Recently measured again because we had a low bridge to go through. This time it measured 11'11". Is the coach shrinking as it ages like we do? I suspect the the springs may be flattening? Is that correct?

  • Were the jacks down the first time you measured it and not the second?

  • Some of it could be suspension changes/aging or lower tire pressures or different loading.

Some of it may also be measurement errors due to various things—such as not quite level and even ground where you're measuring.

You must have left it out in the rain too long.

Or collecting rocks like in the long, long, long trailer.
  • Probably just an increase in weight or lower tire pressure.
