Coachman Problems??

Just bought a 2000 Coachman, V10 Triton, with 45K miles on it. Hasn't been used much if any the last couple of years. Seems to be in good shape cosmetically and it drives good.

The ONAN generator was not used much at all and it smokes white under a load and oil seeps out of the carburetor/air filter. Guess I will take it to an ONAN place to get it looked at. The RV is supposed to have 2 or possibly 4 house batteries, but only has one. One water pipe has pulled loose from the kitchen cold water and I have contacted a plumber to look at the entire RV.

I have some experience with RV's but not this type, but I am taking it to a mechanic to change fluids and check it out as far as running gear.

Can anyone tell me what problems to look for with this year and model?? Any help will be appreciated as I am kinda in over my head right now.
  • Coachmen makes a number of Class As and as many or more model Class C's, along with a bunch of different floor plans for each model. It would probably help if you said which Coachmen you have.
  • Why not run it over to the coachmen factory in midelbary (sp ?) they do good work at a fare labor rate.
