Coachmen leprechaun 260DS

Greetings all, I'm downsizing this Winter and considering a coachmen 260DS. I'm thinking about a Chevy chassis because of increased leg room in the cab area. Any info anyone can give me on quality, storage, handling, or anything else you think I should know would be appreciated. Thanks...........Bruce

  • Don't know about the Leprechaun but I am very happy that I made the choice to get the Chevy chassis on my Winnebago. It rides and handles very well.
  • I have a ford leprechaun, I test drove a chevy. the chevy rides better and is more comfortable, but harder to find used in the floorplan I wanted.
  • I think that that Coachman has something called "Azdel" in the construction, which impedes water, mold and mildew (in lieu of the other "wood construction" called Luann which weighs 50% more and can rot, mold and mildew - so you're probably good to go in that department anyways.
  • Thanks for the replies, I'm parked in Maine for the season, and there are no coachmen dealers hear, so I won't get a chance to see one until I get to Florida....Bruce
