Coachmen water works system

We have a Coachmen Leprechaun, with a "waterworks" valve system. It works fine but I am hoping to find an users manual for it, just in case I am missing something.

Also, when I winterized it I couldn't find the bypass valves for the water heater. This week I got to looking at an access cover under the convection oven and found 2 valves. One open and one closed. Could these be the elusive valves?

I will attempt to add photos. Well, I tried but can't figure it out so that is one more thing I need help with!

Thanks,
  • The winter valve is inside under frig on our waterworks system
  • We've got the same type system (Leprechaun as well) Turner. Agreed that it took a little bit to get used to, but I do like the setup. Only solid information we have on it was in the main owners manual that Coachman provided- but wasn't too detailed about it. Learned most of everything from reading, asking and learning here. :)
  • Thanks, mine looks like the bottom photo. I have never seen any other campers with this. I do like it but it took a little getting used to.

I looked all over for by-pass valves and I just happened to notice that the panel under the oven had screws. Took them out and there they were.

Life is good! I still need to learn how to post pictures.

Thank you again, Mr. Old Biscuit
  • Is your panel like one of these?

    OR

Yes the 2 hidden valves should be for water heater.
The open one is cold water inlet (Normally Open) and allows cold water into water heater tank.
The closed one is the bypass valve (Normally Closed) and ties cold water line to hot water line bypassing water heater (check valve on water heater outlet---hot out--stops water from going back into tank)

When you don't want water going into water heater tank....close the one that is open and open the one that is closed.
