Cold weather camping.

I posted on it in another thread but wonder if others do it also like snowmobiling or skiing or whatever.

We spend the night at that spot maybe 2 or 3 times a season and keep warm!
  • Every year we make our annual trip to Mammoth Mountain for skiing. Stay in a RV park with partial hook ups and an indoor pool. We take precautions to stay warm and keep the tanks from freezing.
  • I don't know how cold it will be but planning on a Thanksgiving camp out, going to try to burn a turkey and have some quality time with the boys. I've winter camped in a pop up and a tent a few times and I liked it a bunch but now I have health issues and cold really gets to my back.
  • Winter camping is why we bought the trailer in the first place.

  • Went camping in a tent trailer in winter, snowing like crazy. Kids loved it back then. Got snowed in at the Grand Canyon one year at Thanksgiving, we were one of six campers there. They plowed us out in the

morning. I was always prepared. This was before cell phones. Has a cb radio in the tow vehicle. Plenty of food, firewood and medical supplies. And a little hootch under the seat just in case.
  • We prefer camping in cool/cold weather. CGs are quiet, no insects or snakes: just watch out for larger predators but they aren't really an issue.
  • No, sorry. But I love cross country skiing and snow camping (in a tent).
  • Keep plenty of LP on board and you batteries "up" and have fun!
