Since I'm a single RVer, I adjusted the dinette to fit my needs - and me. I suffer from Dunlap disease. My belly "done lap" over my belt. So the dinette was a little uncomfortable. I took the seat pads to a local upholstery shop and had them replace the foam padding with heavier duty stuff. And I moved the holders for the dinette legs on the bottom of the table further away from me.
I also replaced the shade with the strings running through it after one of the strings broke. I found a plastic venetian blind that was wide enough and a couple of "L" shaped hooks that I could tuck the bottom of the blind under to keep it from swinging around. If I want to look outside when parked, I lower the blind to free it from the hooks and then set it high enough to look out.
One other adjustment. I added a metal handle to the seat back of the dinette nearest the door. Now I can pull myself up with both hands when entering.
