In days-gone-by we had a couple of these same types. Worked OK the first year, second year they were a disaster! As stated above by another poster, I think the winter freeze got to them as they are stored in the camper over the winter. Next Spring when we got ready to use them, they got thrown away ... worthless!
Save time and money and stick with a conventional hose. And or anyone who may ask, I still drink from my garden hoses at home and camping. I'm just shy of 60 years old now and it hasn't killed me yet! I personally think there is more danger in drinking water from a plastic bottle bought in a store than the garden hose with water from a well in the ground!
Hmm. I should have elaborated. I am a member of the "Touring" clan of B-vanners, not the "camping" clan. This means that I virtually never do a city water hookup. I agree that these lightweight hoses would be a poor choice for that use. I only use the flat hose on the rare occasions when I can't get close enough to a fill-up facility. After I use it, I always dry it thoroughly. In this mode, it has lasted for 8 years and is still good as new.
If you are going to use it every trip, I agree that you should stick with a conventional hose.
