I am not sure what year GM stopped making motorhome chassis, but it was around 2006. It is possible that in 2005, when they made the brochure, the GM chassis was still available.
Once GM made the decision to stop building new 8.1L engines, they also stopped making the 5500 and 6500 chassis trucks, and motorhome chassis.
So the motorhome manufacture could only buy Ford chassis after a certain date. The one you are looking at, must have been made after the manufacture could not find any more of the correct weight rated GM chassis.
Just check the RV empty weight and compare it to the chassis weight rating. If you have the ability to add 1,500 pounds without exceeding the GVWR, you should be fine with the motorhome. If the curb weight + your vehicle weight is not over your GCVWR, then you will also be fine, providing you have a braking system on the towed car.
You should be able to find a moving company, truck scale, or other place to check the RV weight near where it is located now. The brochure really only give a 'estimate' of what the motorhome would weigh the following year - nothing to do with a exact weight of the unit in question, that may have been modified, and many options installed in it.
Good luck,
Fred
