After a while I slowly figured this out. It's really 2005 built in May/05 rolled out as a 2006. The info is right if you look at the 2005 brochure but doesn't jive with the 2006 info. The UVW is 20600, GVW is 22000 and gcvw is 26000 so with towing my Equinox it doesn't give me much for cargo weight.
