I need to get a detector for our Motorhome. My thought was to get a combo CO/LP Detector that is 12V with back up of 9V. Is this possible? Or is just a 9V ok. I wanted to have both sources of powe...

Kidde makes a nice CO detector with a ten year lithium ion battery for about $50,available at big box stores. No more changing batteries every year.
