confused about tire covers

I want to buy some new tire covers to protect my tires when parked for long period. I have a 2015 Winnebago Sightseer.35G. It has standard Michelin 22 inch wheels.What size covers do I need? Do I measure the diameter from tread to tread? That puts me at the Xlarge size as I am over 3 feet. Can anybody help me out. I am confused by all the sizes.

    Measure your tires diameter, outside edge to outside edge. That's what you order.

    You have 22.5" rims and tires. There are many sizes of 22.5" tires and can have as much as 6" in diameter difference. Measure the overall diameter and order your covers. I find rubber mud flaps work great for putting under the tires to keep from leeching moisture from the tires when parked on cement.

    Protecting your tires from UV light is far more important than what you park on. It's hard to find any supporting evidence or advice about parking on concrete. Sorta like the old battery thing.

    Most of the ones i have seen have the tire size they fit on back of the box and you just match the number on the box with your tire size.

    Watch Camping World for buy 1, get 1 free on tire covers. I purchased a set last October and saved a bunch. Unfortunately i purchased one set on Amazon the month prior so now I have an extra set.

    I would strongly disagree with you. Not only does common sense tell us that concrete leeches whatever is placed upon it, even the tire manufacturers recommend something under your tires.

    The jury is still out as to the effectiveness of tire covers with regard to UV protection BUT there is no doubt that white covers reduce the heat buildup created by the sun as compared with black covers.

    X2, the only thing I've seen from tire manufacturers is to keep oil and chemicals off of your tires. I've seen them say to avoid asphalt for that reason but not concrete.

    But, I could be entirely wrong, so I welcome any evidence you can find.

    When I bought my tire covers at Camping World; I was going to buy the smaller 22.5 covers as per my tire size. But the guy at the store told me to get the bigger covers as they would be easier to put on and have a strap to hold them on. They fit good, are easy to put on, and I don't have to use the strap on the bottom.
