We have a 2005 Gulf Stream B Touring Cruiser with a Ford V10. What all should we be leery of? The BT was our first MH and in 2 years we have seen 48 states...yes we use our rig!
  • we have the sister motorhome to yours its a pace arrow 37c.We love ours. the floor pan is great. Only issue we had when we got ours was the screws/bolts holding the front walls to the chassis were missing and allowed a lot of movement. i had to reattach the walls though they dropped about an inch.
  • HEY, good find, I have a 2006 SouthWind 37c,v10 23000 miles, love it we have put 6000 miles on our last trip, and leaving in Aug for a month.Make sure you get on the roof and check for everything. We love our 37 and its going to be our last rig, if I have to drive the tires off of it. Everything works fine,no problems, Do check the frig for recalls .youll find that your 37c is worth about 55000 plus.good luck.
  • Thank you both. Do any of you flat tow? We have a great HHR that we tow. Do you think it is ok to continue? What a wonderful retirement RVing is!
  • Have basically the same RV with 80,000 miles on it.

    You'll need tires.

Check the exhaust manifolds, mine have been repaired twice.

Make sure the Actia dashgauge LCD is readable. I'm on my third.

Make sure the brake recall has been done.

Make sure the Norcold recall has been done.

My engine air conditioner compressor went out a few years back. $1,000

You can flat tow the HHR with no problem. I've pulled a 4,000lb toad most of the time.

The Allison 1000 transmission came with Dexron iii. You need to switch it to Transynd, about $450

The price sounds pretty good to me. We run coast to coast and that engine/transmission combo is great.
  • I pull about 6500 plus when pulling my drag car, I did reenforce the hitch for the extra weight, I also pull on a dolly a 2014 impala you shouldnt have any issues pulling a HHR
