We had a 95 Bounder 34J for about 12 years so I know some of the quirks of that era.
During most of those years we towed an S10 Blazer and the 454 had plenty of power. I was always impressed with the Four wheel disc brakes which were before the Workhorse brake problem years. We consistently got between 7-8 mpg.
Check the chassis basement door frames as they are known to have rust issues. Keep these clean and painted. Latches on the basement doors can also rust and stick. Fairly easy to R&R. American RV near Grand Rapids, Michigan (not that Camping World there) was the only dealer I found that normally carried these latches.
These have dualpane windows which can be an issue. Check the 96 before you buy. There are a number of posts here about dualpain windows.
Also check the roof.
