Do not shoot the messenger but if $1-3 thousand scares you you do not want a diesel and may not even want to get into the RV. life style.
Service alone if done by a shop will cost you dearly. I do most all my own work and spend hundreds every year. Shop will be thousands every couple years and that is only if nothing breaks.
Just trying to be fair to you before you purchase.
