Service alone if done by a shop will cost you dearly. I do most all my own work and spend hundreds every year. Shop will be thousands every couple years and that is only if nothing breaks.

This is so true, I learned the hard way. I usualy do my oww mechanic. But this time, it was getting cold, tired of bending under, and I said, the heck with this, I will let the shop do it. I went for an oil change and fuel filters change: $244.00., "do we check the tires and grease and fluids", go for it I said: Oil and grease job done: $64.00. Check tire and put some air in it: $32.00, drop some antifreeze in: $20., plus coolant.
The only thing that was not bad was the ABS light On: $52 for the sensor, $150 for computor check and repairing the faulty sensor.
