I've had a few motor homes over the last 40 plus years. The worst one by far was my 2001 Monaco with a 300 hp Cummins. I couldn't go anywhere with that thing without something failing and it rode and handled terrible. By the second year, my extended warranty paid bills far more than my premium. The best by far was my 2006 Winnebago journey with absolutely zero problems and was the best driving MH I've owned. The extended warranty was not a good investment on my part on that one. Not all DP's are the same. I have since gone back to a gasser. Very good ride, handles very good, fuel is $80.00 less per fill up. I don't have to deal with the DEF. No regrets. Gassers have come a long way and I don't see myself ever going back to a DP. I've never had gas go bad by storing any of my gas MH's over the winter.
