Am I correct in thinking that I can see the gross vehicle weight rating and gross combined weight rating in the specs, but I have to see how much the rig actually weighs to figure out how much room there is for stuff like water/gear and people? I've only found one brand that actually says you can take XX lbs of cargo.
I know Tiffin has all your weights listed in the closet on the back wall. If you start looking at what the hitch rating is you will find the GCWR will go up. Many entre level DP's will have a 5k tow limit and as you go up in levels they will give em a 10k tow rating. Usually a bigger Allison is used and more HP and TQ also.
Another thing to look at is how they changed the rear axle weight rating for RV's back in 2012. You can now run 24K IIRC on one DRW axle. Before that change many had to use the tag axle to be legal.
I know on my first trip across the scale I only had 1K to spare on the rear axle under the old law. And that was empty other than ourselves.
