By all means replace the converter, Or, if the converter is part of the power distribution panel replace the "Guts" of the system. I favor the Progressive Dynamics 9200 (Dongle optional) or the 9100 with the optional charge wizard,, Both are identical performers. Now to figure out the last two digits..
If your house batteries are a pair of GC-2 Golf car batteries use the number 225 for each pair
Group 31 use 130
Group 29 105
Group 27 95
Group 24 75
Add up the right hand number and multiply by 30% (O.30)
So if you have 2 pair of GC-2, 230 + 230 = 460 460 * .3 = 138.0 So you can charge at a MAXIMUM of 130 amps.. They do not make one that big.
Also add a Trick-L-Start, this is the device that takes care of the engine battery.
