Converter on Four Winds Majestic 28A

Can anyone help me with the location of the electric converter on a Four Winds Majestic 28A???

Is it under the bed?
  • Mine is hard wired in place. You could always install a plug on it though. It is on a separate circuit breaker so why not just switch that breaker off. Even with the converter off you will still have both 120vac and 12vdc running all over as gotsmart said.

BTW, my genny is under the dinette.

Do you know if it can be unplugged? My friend is electro-sensitive, and looking at buying one

    You're kidding me?

IMO, "electro-sensitive" and "RV" are 2 terms in conflict with each other. Forget unplugging the converter. An RV is a sardine can with AC and DC wiring running throughout it. Above you, below you, beside you - you're always only 2-3 feet from wiring. One might as well disconnect the house battery and never plug in the shore power cable into a pedestal, out of fear of bad power in the campground (a real possibility).

BTW, you know the generator that's behind the left rear wheels? It's under the bed as well. The best part - when that Onan MQ 4000 is running and you're in bed... you won't need any quarters.
  • Thanks Tenbear.

Do you know if it can be unplugged? My friend is electro-sensitive, and looking at buying one, so it could be a big issue for her.

    Thanks again.
  • I have an older Four Winds 28A. My converter is under the bed, on the passenger's side. The power distribution panel is the black thing and the converter is in the bottom, below the power panel.

Yours may or may not be the same.
