Correct Gap for Spark Plugs
I have been reading on a couple of RV sites and there are 3 different answers.
I 'm installing new plugs & wires on a Vortec 8.1 engine. My book says they should be gaped as per engine specs. I can not find it any where in the book that came with the coach the correct gap. This is the second set of plugs, first set was installed by a shop when the Air Ducts were installed as The coach is a Winnebago Adventure 35A With a Vortec 8.1 . The new plugs I want to install are AC Delco R44LTSM That's what the book says.
My question is do I gap them at 0.60 0.45 or 0.50
There is over 30, 000 miles on this set of plugs. I noticed on my last trip I did not have the power I did have and it would spit & spudder every once in a while. I do know it needs new wires. so while I'm at it I' just going to replace plugs& wires.
Any one know what's the correct gap??
Thanks a bunch
