Correct order to disconnect dual batteries

KEEP THAT STRAP IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT! (Don't ask me how I know this.) :S

After you have cleaned every thing use a anti corrosion lube.

I pulled the old batteries out today. One thing I didn't anticipate was how hard it would be to actually lift them out. Not because they're heavy, but because there's really not much room to get my hands down there so I could get under them. :/

I believe there are some "Flat Earth true believers" that don't but most rational people have a cell phone with a camera.

First thing to do is take a picture so you remember how to hook back up

The only reason you are disconnecting the NEGATIVE FRAME GROUND connection first is to protect yourself from accidentally touching your wrench to a hot terminal with the battery setup negative connected to frame ground.

This is really important when working with automotive battery installation where alot of FRAME GROUND Potentials are all around the battery terminals.

Has really nothing to do with the battery setup at all as for as doing harm to the batteries...

Sparking any battery terminals is never a good idea...

Connect the negative to the battery LAST.

Until the negative is hooked up, it's hard to screw up...
