They seem like an alternative, , especially if they were at a rally near a place I was going, but if I were to drive to their location, I'd burn up $150 of diesel. I see a lot of FDOT cars around, checking the trucks that frequent the Port ... I'll see if one would be willing to help me out.

4 corner weighing is highly over rated imo.

Seen one of these in action at a rally in tenn. $50.00, about a 1/2 hour you get pin weight and each wheel.
they are moble just do a little research and find out when one is close to you.

I use a local grain elevator. Their scale platform is level with the ground and there is space around it to maneuver.


As long as I don't need paper work they don't charge.

They are trying to charge you at that rate probably 1 hours labor rate. Some rv repair places that have scales do that. The scales are not cheap, approx $4500 each, so they could get by with 2, but if they have 4 or 6, it will take years to recoup their investment. A CAT drive on scale is depending on the ground work needed to install at the low end $60,000 and up to over 100 grand. The truck stops are not using the scale business as a sole means of income, otherwise they could never charge $10 and expect to make any money. Hi All.

"Hight" isn't the word for it, its just pain a "Rip-Off". I think I would never do any business with this company no matter what they had and I needed.

The place I use, I can get it weighted anyway we want it to be weighed, and for as long as it takes. And we also get a "Real California DMV Certified Weight Scales Report, and for only $10 Dollars.

You could try a weigh station when it's open.

Or - knock out a couple lights, remove your tags, loosely secure some dangerous looking cargo, and the boys in blue will come out of no where with scale plates in hand.

Paid 45.00 at a rally with print out here in California.106.00 sounds a little high.
