Cost of Toll Thru Indiana and Ohio

Need to know what the cost will be traveling East on 80/90 toll road. We are getting on in Indiana at exit 101 and getting off at exit 142 in Ohio. We are in a class A RV pulling a Toad. I have went to different web sites trying to figure it out but they or confusing to me.
We will be paying cash since we don't have a pass.
Thanks for all comments!

  • I Pass transponder is free. Using I Pass in IL saves you 50% on tolls.

In June I paid $20.00 from IN/OH line to Ohio exit 151. Looking at toll charges, you would pay $18.75 to exit 142 using I Pass, $24.25 without.

Can't tell you the toll, however, I suggest buying the I-pass, which is good in a number of states and can be used for class A with toad or tad by itself. I purchased one earlier this year and used it going to and from the rally in Madison. Well worth the money.

X2 Ipass makes it easier and less painful! You don't see the cost until later:)

  • Here's what I paid recently driving through Ohio then Indiana on I-90. I have 3 axles plus the toad.

    07/18/15 04:55 PM TOLL ($21.75) OTIC Plz 2-Westgate-Ln 2 2
    07/18/15 05:11 PM TOLL ($15.98) INDOT Plz -Elkhart East-Ln 01W
    07/19/15 10:15 AM TOLL ($2.23) INDOT Plz -Portage-Ln 01W
    07/19/15 10:38 AM TOLL ($5.09) INDOT Plz -Westpoint-Ln 01W
  • I think it is not high as much as weight. If you weigh more you will get a higher toll
  • Being through OH many times and I have never seen a High Vehicle add-on. Just be sure that no axle weighs over 20,000 pounds or you will get turned away from their toll roads.
  • If I recall, Ohio also charges more for "high" vehicles" of the same axle count.

If your RV has 2 axle then you will pay the 4 axle rate. If you have an RV with a tag axle you will pay the 5 axle rate (you know....tractor/trailer).
You should be able to figure your costs from that.
