cost question
Am looking at downsizing to a class C from 5er....can someone give me a ballpark figure of cost and what is involved in setting up a vehicle to pull(aka toad)....also pros/cons of towing with 4wheels ...

Hi Kemer, My wee blonde and I just went through setting up our 2012 equinox for towing four down. We checked out a lot of different options on how to tow and finally decided to go with the Ready Brute Elite tow bar witch has the braking system built into the tow bar. Its a surge type braking system and WE have been happy with our choice of systems. We also have the car set up with diodes so we use the trailer light pig tail from the motor home for brake and turn lights on the car. The cost for setting up our system was about $2400 which included the base plates. Our equinox has a all wheel drive system that can be towed four down . There are several different types of systems out there so take a good look at all of them. Good luck on your choice and happy travels.
