You did it OK. Just make sure next spring you rinse your fresh water tank good to get all the pink out of it. Your water will continue to be foamy from the faucets until it's all cleared out, even though it may look clear in a glass after filling. When the foam finally is gone with the faucet is open, it's all good then.
