OP, I looked at replacing my Zantrax 2000 MSW with a bigger PSW, but the newer units use a Cat5 cable, not the phone four conductor to the remote. Also my 2000 on generator power will only put out 55-60 amps of charging from a unit that's supposed to put out 100 amps. Even on shore power it will only put out 70 amps. I ended up creating a separate PSW system just for the refer with four AGM batteries because we boondock often.
I just finished installing a 21 CuFt home refer myself. Based on Dennis's pictures I'd say my Dynasty has less headroom than his EXE. The DW did not want to loose the drawer under our 1200 so I finally found a shorter unit than the 197. Like Dennis I had to remove the floor that my 1200 sat on to gain the 1/2" I needed to make mine fit but I did not remove the cross piece. Here is a link to my DIY project with some followup power data... basically all you need is a 500W PSW inverter mounted next to your 2000 for it's battery cables and a 120V outlet from it to power the home refer.
