The original owners of the MH we bought used a cover and it came with the rig when we bought it. I got it out of the stow-bin when we got it home and tried to put it on. After horsing it around for a couple of hours, I put it back in its bag and stashed it in the garage.
Our rig had a rubber roof and the owner's manual was very specific about not walking on it and I didn't think the cover could be installed without doing that. Despite being close to the US/Canada border, our winters are mild - we've only had snow three times in the 16 years we've lived here. I decided the hassle of putting the cover on and taking it off again 8 weeks later wasn't worth it.
It went back in the stow-bin when we sold the rig.
