cracked ex manifold or gasket
I have read that the 454 chevy cast iron exhaust manifolds are prone to cracking. Is it easy to see? I would rather that the gaskets are bad

well i cant seem to see a sign of leaking or cracks on the manifolds, however I did grab the exhaust pipes and they move around quite easily at the donuts, they seem loose.. I'm going to give that a shot today if the nuts will come off
Mine were cracked in numerous places. I soaked all the studs with PB Blaster for a week sometimes three or four times a day and everyone of them came right out. I went with Doug Thourly ceramic coated headers from Summit Racing. Good luck with yours keep us posted.
