Crazy RPM guage
Newmar 2003 Mountain Aire on gas chassis with Vortec engine. When I start out all is well but after a while driving, the RPM gauge goes nuts, it will show my RPM and the suddenly go to ZERO or UP but...

I care a lot about the RPM gauge. I never exceed 4,000 rpm and when I climb mountains I run at about 3,500 rpm where max torque is developed.
Likewise going down mountains I keep the RPM below 4,000.
You can get a ScanGauge, or an UltraGauge, and it will tell you the RPMs.
Also that may help you troubleshoot the problem if it fluctuates too.
