cruise control
the on switch on the steering wheel does not turn on the cruise light on the dash like it used to. could the switch be bad? but when i push the set button the light comes on.

- 2006 v-10,ford chassis,and yes my brake lights work fine.
- Neither of mine come on until set.
- Normally the brake light fuse also controls the CC system. This is because you need brake light 12 volts to shut off the CC while driving. So check to see if the brake lights work.
Good luck on the rest. If it works, why bother if the light did or did not come on before you engage it? On my car, when I turn on the CC, it will not light up the dash light until it is engaged.
It will help to know what model year, if it is Ford, GMC, or another chassis manufacture. And what brand CC controller if another brand chassis.
