CRUISE CONTROL

There's a magnetic pickup device on the rear axle housing called Vehicle Speed Sensor or VSS. If it's OUT, Cruise will not work. But that's not all VSS drives. Antilock Braking System for one, so you shouldn't have total VSS failure and NOT see Check Engine Light/CEL, or Codes if you have a Scanner, Scan Software on a Tablet/Laptop or of course a ScanGauge. Actually, one of those tools should be able to confirm that the VSS and ABS are in fact working.
