Also, the type MOUNT that both Girrard and Carefree require, will not make installing one aftermarket an easy thing to do. They are 120 volt and you will have to run 120 wiring and other wiring to the roof and then mount the mount hardware to the roof. Hopefully your roof will have adequate aluminum steel to hold the mount hardware. Most Motorhomes will NOT have the adequate sub structure for a safe mount. They also weigh about 250 lbs. Think about that weight. It takes 4 of us with a Forklift to remove and replace one of these awnings, due to the weight and bulk. Doug
