Factory weight rates are not the last word.

My frame is an example.

Fleetwood rated the frame for 5,000 pounds towing.

When I wanted to pull 10,000 pound they said no.

I called the chassis manufacture (Gillig) and they said no problem, frame will handle way more.

Gillig actually sells the bolt on hitch to take it to 10,000 pounds.

So who do you believe the people that built the chassis or the people that bolted the coach body to the chassis?
