If lbligh saw my rig wonder what'd the reaction would be....a 24' Class C that routinely pulls a 20' enclosed car hauler that weighs in depending on what's in it anywhere from 7,500 to 8,000 lbs. At face value, the thought would be a rolling pending thermonuclear explosion. LOL
Except, Forest River maintains the OEM Ford GCWR on Sunseekers, which in the case of my 2011 E450 is 22,000lbs. Since the unit is a no-slide 24' on the higher-capacity cutaway chassis, my unit's empty weight is only just over 10,000lbs against a GVWR of 14,500. That's right, a NCC of basically 4,500 lbs, along with a 7,500lb towing capacity over and above the GVWR. In reality, the RV weighs in loaded up with fluids, stuff, family and dog at roughly 12,500lbs. Adding in 1,200 lbs of tongue weight has the chassis carrying 13,700lbs, under the 14,500 limit, with an all-up weight of 20,000 to 20,500lbs.
Everything under any and all applicable limits.
BTW to the original poster, very, very nice rig and set-up.
