And the hitch rating is??????? And your Federal Certification label says???? My guess is, a 5000 lb hitch/receiver and using your numbers, a 5800 lb trailer. So, it looks like you exceed the rating by 800 lbs,
Nice trailer.
Safe travels.
I was throwing more weight on all my numbers and I still came under the specs.
My trailer/jeep/boat most likely weights under 5500 lbs, Jeep weight is 3700lb, trailer weight 1500lb and boat weight at 275lbs adds up to 5475 lbs, also note my hitch has been reinforced with the frame reinforcement, did you note that.
I back yard engineer recertified my hitch to 7500 lbs..
;)
And would it pass an inspection if ever required? No. Your "re-certification" means nothing, as you are not able to "re-certify" anything. Again... so what does that Federal Certification label say for maximum capacity? Simply cannot get away from the facts. I love your comment of "I was throwing more weight on all my numbers and I still came under the specs." So... we can all now conclude that you really have not had anything weighed? Too funny.
Safe travels.
