lbligh give it a rest please. this whole setup would pass any inspection any time so why keep beating a dead horse here. leave the guy alone. Its 100% correct and there is not a thing wrong with his setup
And how could that be if the trailer exceeds the certified hitch/receiver rating? Not to mention that we now find out that the guy hasn't as much as had it weighed. SO... he has no idea of what the combination weight is in addition to believing that he somehow re-certified his GVWR and hitch/receiver ratings. Too funny...
But I have 1 good thing on my side lbligh during a inspection if I ever have one, no where on my hitch does it have a stamp of its weight rating, must have just been a sticker and its gone, even my new back yard engineered trailer has no GVW rating on it, so if I was ever inspected they will have nothing to go off of as to weight specs, but I could show off my frame extension and setup that would make me pass right..
:B
Oh and my ball/receiver is rated for 10,000lbs, but the hitch on motorhome I can only rate that at 7500lbs at this time.
"But I have 1 good thing on my side lbligh during a inspection if I ever have one, no where on my hitch does it have a stamp of its weight rating, must have just been a sticker and its gone..." And that pesky required Federal Weight Certification label says what again about maximum gross towed weight? Too funny.
