custom cabinets and woodwork

Who does custom woodwork on coaches? Any idea what it might coast to re-do all the woodwork in the coach?

If you want to read 'everything Prevost', you should join the free site www.prevostcommunity.com. You will have to be approved and will be given a password. They do this to protect themselves from trolls getting on the site.

I don't think many Prevost converters use solid wood cabinets. You might find that in the older Prevost Monaco Royale and Prevost Country Coach coaches.

We have real wood veneer over a composite material for weight reduction. We saved about 2,500 lbs. with these type of cabinets. And Prevosts are heavy once they are converted.

All loaded up with all of our treasures, we are at our max weight.

Amish cabinet makers are super good quality. You could try to go to Amish country and get some. :) Really there are Amish all over America, just more focused in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Plenty in Missouri, California, Colorado, and Indiana.

If you are in Atlanta why not check with the guy in "Red Bay" Alabama. He used to work for Tiffin but now works for himself. Read lots of good things about him on the Tiffin network.

Since you are in Atlanta, and close to Florida as a bird flies, I have not used him, but Donnie Myers in Sanford Florida, who works on Provosts, has a great reputation for quality material and workmanship. Not only that, but they can do it all, mechanical, plumbing, woodworking, etc.

If they can't do it they surely could give you a list of locals - Indiana - Elkhart - is the home of all these sorts of things if the phone can't get you and answer it might be worth the trip to locate a "Wood Mechanic".

Bradd and Hall is where I'd start.

I don't have a Prevost but I do have a Beaver with very nice cabinets. I had a friend who is a master cabinet maker make a trundle bed set. I asked him to match, as close as possible, the cabinets in my coach. It cost me $1600 dollars and he whined about that. As said above, the labor is what costs money. Labor is high for a Master.

Be aware that RV furniture is designed to minimize weight. The more you put in in furniture, the less is available for other stuff. MDF or particle board is HEAVY! Good quality plywood is much lighter.
