We have that model of hot tub at home.I would think a 12 volt pump wouldn't have the same pumping power as the stock AC pump who's heat that is given off by the pump motor is used to heat the water and keep it warm. It's a simple & very
efficient system in it's stock set up. Once the water is heated, it uses little
power to operate per month. I would try using it while RV'ing at long term
places you will be staying with AC power is you can. Then see if it's worth all
the trouble of hauling around before doing a 12 volt pump / propane heating mod.
