I also got the GoPro Hero 3 a couple of years ago to use as a dash cam after having one of the cheaper eBay cameras stop working. I haven't used it often and need to start using it every time we travel. How do you set your's for recording? IIRC, it has a finite memory so after some time it will just stop recording when the memory is full.
