Dash guages fuse?

Do the dash guages have fuse(s) and if so where might they be located. I was rummaging around behind the dash while hooking the power cable for CD disc changer. None of the electrical guages are now working...

Thanks
  • Thanks to all for their advice. I have been unable to locate problem . I ran a hot wire from ignition to one of the guages that were in a loop and everything seems to be working normally. Good ole "Southern Engineering".

    Happy Trails......

    Thanks

Get back in there and do some looking around for where you may have knocked a wire loose.
Pay special attention to the ground returns and if you have voltage somewhere on the back of the gauges for the lights, then the ground has most likely been lost. In fact finding voltage, pretty much tells you, that the fuse is still good.
My chassis fuses are located on the driver's left side, next to the floor and marked ...instruments... I think.
With the gauges themselves and their readings, the sending units usually make up the ground returns, individually.
  • All consumers of electrical power are fused in some manner. It may be in a common line bringing a power source to the gauge cluster. But given that you have "rummaged around", it is most likely a loose connection that you disturbed and not a fuse. Do you have the wiring diagram for your coach and a test meter?
