I will soon be a new owner of a class c, but an old owner of trailers. One thing you should not over look and I did with my new trailer in the winter was cleaning of the salt.
You should always wash or get rid of the possibility of road salt sitting for long periods of time on your unit. It may not show right away but it will show signs of rusting over time if not taken care of every time you return from a winter trip.
X2. I live in Texas where road salt isn't used, so this is something that completely slips my mind, but in more northern states, cleaning the salt off is quite important.
One idea I wonder about is buying a generator controller from Magnum Energy or Onan and using that to automatically fire up the genset for a few hours when the batteries fall below a selected voltage. Other than filling the "C" up with gas and adding fuel preservative like Sta-Bil or Seafoam, this might help with keeping things running.
