Dead Batteries
My 4 coach batteries are dead and hence won't start the generator. Is it OK to use a portable jump starter on them to crank/start the generator?

Yes, but it's not going to start the generator. With the engine running use your automatic jumper cables to charge your house batteries.OK, it's the boost switch on the dash...may require holding it on for 15+ minutes before you can get enough charge into four dead batteries.
